This tool helps convert DOCX files into DOC formats.
Ever since Microsoft introduced the DOCX version for its Word program, there has been an incompatibility issue between various versions of the Word program. Thus there is always an issue about exchanging documents between users of different versions of the program. The biggest problem is due to the fact that the newer DOCX program is not backward compatible with the older DOC version. DOCX files are not readable with program versions that use DOC as the native version. Once you receive a DOCX version of a document, there are no other alternative but to convert to format down to DOC to be able to even read the document and edit it, if required. The interface is simple; most users can get productive simply by starting to use it. There are several modes of conversion offered by the tool.
These modes are a batch, a command-line and a hot directory mode. It is easy to set up the batch mode and get a bunch of files converted at a time. You create a batch list directly through a file explorer like interface or by drag & drop of the files. Once users are sure of how exactly to set up a batch, they can start using the command line to get a batch processed even faster. The watched directory or the hot directory mode is a transparent way of carrying out the conversion. As files are dropped in a specified folder they are converted automatically. It is a standalone program and you would not need to have a copy of the Word in the system. Log file record events so that it is easy to debug things later should there be any problem. This is a very good and handy tool for getting the conversion done.
